About the Role
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for growing and maintaining customer relationships — from the first call to ongoing service management. This role combines sales outreach, customer onboarding, and operational oversight to ensure every account receives consistent, quality service.
Requirements
Proven experience in sales, customer service, or account management (janitorial or facilities industry preferred).
Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and work independently.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally for customer visits and site inspections.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Lead Management
Contact incoming leads through calls, emails, and follow-ups.
Schedule appointments for quotes and on-site walkthroughs with prospective customers.
Prepare and present service proposals to close new accounts.
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Account Onboarding & Operations
Manage the onboarding process for new clients.
Hire, assign, and train cleaners for each new account.
Conduct walkthroughs with staff to review the scope of work and cleaning standards.
Ensure smooth account launches and continuity of service.
Account Management & Quality Control
Perform weekly quality audits on customer sites and document findings.
Email audit reports and updates to customers promptly.
Address and resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
Serve as a backup cleaner when assigned staff are absent to ensure uninterrupted service.
Communication & Problem Solving
Maintain strong communication with customers, team members, and leadership.
Identify and resolve issues independently; escalate when necessary.
Proactively suggest service improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
